The Company
Our client is a rapidly growing British Columbia-based nonprofit organization focused on addressing childhood food insecurity and expanding its impact across communities throughout the province. With a strong reputation, an ambitious growth plan, and a leadership team investing intentionally in people, systems, and infrastructure, the organization is entering an important new phase of operational and fundraising maturity.
This is a highly visible opportunity to join a collaborative, values-driven team and play a foundational role in building the systems, reporting, and fundraising infrastructure required to support long-term growth and measurable community impact.
The Opportunity
This is more than a CRM administration role. As CRM & Data Manager, you’ll serve as the primary owner and strategic lead for the organization’s donor database, fundraising systems environment, reporting infrastructure, and CRM optimization initiatives.
You’ll sit at the intersection of CRM administration, donor data management, fundraising operations, reporting and analytics, workflow automation, and cross-functional collaboration. A major priority in the role will be helping guide the organization through its transition to a new CRM platform while building scalable systems, processes, and reporting structures that support long-term fundraising growth. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building infrastructure, improving processes, solving operational challenges, and creating order within a dynamic, growth-stage environment.

Serve as the primary administrator and owner of the organization’s CRM platform
Lead ongoing CRM optimization, system configuration, workflows, automations, permissions, and enhancements

Provide training, onboarding, and day-to-day support to internal CRM users
Partner closely with fundraising, finance, operations, and leadership teams to improve adoption, consistency, and overall system effectiveness
What You Bring
3–7+ years of experience working with CRM platforms, donor databases, fundraising systems, or adjacent data/operations environments
Experience in nonprofit fundraising operations, development operations, advancement services, or other mission-driven CRM/data roles is strongly preferred
Strong reporting, analytics, and data governance capability, with advanced Excel skills and comfort working with dashboards and performance reporting
Experience supporting CRM implementation, migration, optimization, or systems improvement initiatives
Confidence working cross-functionally with both technical and non-technical users
Familiarity with platforms such as Virtuous, Keela, Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud, Raiser’s Edge, DonorPerfect, HubSpot, or similar tools
A systems-oriented, builder mindset with strong attention to detail, curiosity, and problem-solving ability
A collaborative, mission-aligned approach and comfort operating in an evolving, growth-stage environment
Exposure to workflow automation, integrations, APIs, marketing automation tools, or CRM customization is considered an asset.
Why This Role
This is an opportunity to step into a foundational role at a mission-driven organization where your work will directly support both fundraising growth and long-term community impact. Rather than simply maintaining a system, you’ll help shape the infrastructure, reporting environment, and operational maturity needed to support the organization’s next stage of scale.
For someone who enjoys building, improving, and creating structure — and who wants their work to contribute to a meaningful social mission — this role offers genuine ownership, visibility, and the chance to make a measurable difference inside a highly collaborative and people-first organization.

Outlier's Process
1
Apply
Submit your application through our online portal. A real human reviews every resume - no automated AI filtering here. We assess your experience, background, and alignment with current opportunities. If there’s a strong match, we’ll be in touch with next steps. If not, we keep your profile on file for future roles that may be a better fit. Depending on the scope of the search, Outlier may continue to manage the process end-to-end, or the client may take the lead directly from this point forward. In either case, we ensure a clear handoff and will let you know exactly what to expect next.
2
Outlier Interview
If your background aligns with what our client is looking for, we’ll schedule a live interview. This 30–45 minute conversation is designed to go beyond your resume. We’ll dig into your skills and experience, but more importantly, we want to hear your story - what motivates you, what you’re looking for next, and what makes you stand out. We also use this conversation to discuss compensation expectations upfront, ensuring alignment early and avoiding surprises later in the process.
3
Candidate Submission
Once we’ve met and confirmed alignment, shortlisted candidates are presented to our client. If selected to move forward, you’ll be asked to complete a short (10–15 minute) online assessment. This helps the client better understand your values, motivation, and work style, and supports a more thoughtful, well-rounded hiring decision.
4
Client Interviews and Beyond
Once candidates move forward, our clients review a well-rounded view of your profile — including your experience, our interview perspective, and assessment insights. From there, they identify who they’d like to meet directly. We act as an advocate and connector throughout, ensuring your strengths are clearly represented and that you’re supported with preparation, context, and timely feedback at every step. For finalist candidates, we further manage background checks, facilitate offers, and support on-boarding, providing support and acting as your coach right until the end.
